Bereits seit der 1. Reunion von Modern Talking im Jahr 1998 sind deren Fans auch die Fans von Mark Ashley, der genau da seine erste Single " Dream Of Great Emotion " veröffentlichte und dessen Songs von Anfang an immer mit MT verwechselt wurden. Mark´s Stimme ist der von Thomas Anders zum verwechseln ähnlich und die Songs aus der Feder von Mark´s Haus-Songwriter Steffen Ehrhardt zeigten auch immer deutlich, dass sie von Dieter Bohlen stark beeinflusst waren und auch gut auf jedes MT Album gepasst hätten. Lediglich im Produktions-Aufwand verblassten Mark´s Songs gegenüber denen von MT, die eben immer durch fette Arrangements glänzten, für die bei den meisten Bohlen & Co. Hits immer Lois Rodriguez verantwortlich zeichnete. Was lag nach der Trennung von MT also näher, als dass sich das Team Ashley / Ehrhardt dessen Haus-Producer schnappte um zusammen mit ihm Mark´s neue Single ( immerhin schon die achte ) aufzunehmen, damit der Sound auch diesmal richtig "fett" klingt und auch den Produktions-Standard von MT bietet - und wenn man jetzt das Ergebnis hört, dann glaubt man kaum, dass der Song eben nicht von Bohlen & Anders ist. Die Modern Talking Fans können sich freuen, denn der Sound wird durch Mark Ashley und mit Unterstützung von Lois Rodriguez weiter leben. Und wer Modern Talking´s Musik schon immer hasste und sich über die erneute Trennung gefreut hat - der hat mal eben Pech gehabt !

When "Dream of great emotion" was released in 1998 Modern Talking fans became also Mark Ashley fans. It was Modern Talking's reunion and the resemblance to their music style which made Mark popular. His voice simply resembles Thomas Anders' a lot. This fact and Steffen Ehrhardt's compositions emphasize how much both were influenced by Dieter Bohlen and how perfectly they would have fitted on a Modern Talking CD.

Just the production of the Modern Talking sound was much more professional, bigger and stylisher than Mark Ashley's titles. Due to Luis Rodriguez who was responsible for most of the Dieter Bohlen hits. So it's no wonder that Ashley and Erhardt asked Luis to produce Mark's 9th single "When I see the angels cry" after Modern Talking were separated for the second time. The result was a gorgeous and magnificient sound which was closer to MT's style than ever before. 
You hardly believe it's not composed by Dieter Bohlen or sung by Thomas Anders.

Modern Talking fans can be happy because this specific sound will survive with the help of Mark Ashley -and due to the support of Luis Rodriguez. And those who have disliked Modern Talking's music right from the  beginning and who were happy about their second split -well, bad luck, guys!
